Arc Flash Testing
Single Layer Fabric - Arc Flash
Testing for a single layer of material to ASTM F1959 or IEC 61482-1-1 Method A to calculate an Arc Rating, or box testing to IEC 61482-1-2 to determine if Class 1 or Class 2 protection can be achieved.
Multi Layer Fabric - Arc Flash
Testing for a multi-layer system of materials to ASTM F1959 or IEC 61482-1-1 Method A to calculate the Arc Rating of the composite or box testing to IEC 61482-1-2.
Requests for testing finished garments to ASTM F2621, IEC 61482-1-1 Method B, or box testing to IEC 61482-1-2. Fabrics must be tested to calculate their rating prior to garment level testing.
